Sonic Origins: Scramble Canyon Zone

Zone 1, Scramble Canyon Zone.

Our hero finds himself running through a rocky desert, with steep drops and inclines all around.

With blinding speed, he shoots up to the top of a large outcrop. From this greater vantage point, he spies a familiar shape in the distance- the shape of his most persistent opponent.

With a smirk, the blue blur kicks off towards the horizon, and his next adventure...

This is an idea of a Sonic Zone. What I wanted was a first area that showcases Sonic's physics and momentum, so high cliffs and sharp drops with loads of slopes are a must have.

To top it off, desert themes are under used in the Sonic series, so that seemed like a natural choice.


And hey, for once, I put some effort into creating a background! Sadly, I can't do toned colours very well, so cel shading will have to suffice for the moment!
